Challenge
Provide techEd to adults aged 25-40 that grew up in a low-income environment weren't afforded access to technology growing up.
Objective/Goals
The goal of my project is to provide techEd services to low income adults who didn’t have access to technology growing up. My solution is to create an application that walks through the steps to complete the actions of making a call, sending a text message, and adding a contact.
Design Process

Empathize
Personas
An adult aged 25-40 that grew up in a low-income environment that wasn’t afforded access to technology growing up. The audience typically has a flip phone with little to no knowledge of how to use a smartphone. The user wants to learn how to use a smartphone to possibly improve their chances of getting a better job in the future.

Define
Create an application for the user to learn the basics of their smartphone to increase their chances of obtaining a better job in the future.
Ideate
Low-Fidelity Wireframes
The low fidelity wireframes created show the general layout of main screens in the LearnTech app. I wanted to highlight the main, device, topic, and lab screens to create the general flow of the application.

Design Systems
A design system was created for uniformity and ease of use when designing the application. The systems are a referential guide to follow to create cohesive designs.
High-Fidelity Wireframes
The high fidelity wireframes created show a slightly in-depth layout of main screens in the LearnTech app. I wanted to build upon the low fidelity wireframes by adding more information and a clearer description of the elements that will be present in the final product.

Emphasis placed on the buttons and the various states that the buttons will be in.
Also identifying the formatting, color arrangements, and iconography of the keypad and form field.
Research
Prototype
Iteration 1
First prototype iteration shows a single workflow through the app. Provided commentary to further explain design choices and workflow.

Iteration 2
Second iteration shows same single workflow but provides more detail into the elements that'll be present in the final design. Incorporating design style elements and text content. Included more commentary on changes made within file.

Iteration 3

Third and final iteration is the full working prototype.
Test

The intended outcome of the application is to help the user learn the basics of their smartphone to increase their chances of obtaining a better job in the future.
